Dank Sinatra
Dank Sinatra is an indica-dominant hybrid strain named after the famed jazz legend, the ol’ Blue Eyes, leader of the rat pack himself, the one and only Frank Sinatra. It is the product of crossbreeding between the LA Affie and Hash Plant strains, and its aromas of spicy hash will perhaps give that lineage away. Dank Sinatra reaches an unbelievably high average of up to 33%. Despite being an indica-dominant strain, it offers typical sativa effects that will leave you feeling giddy and upbeat. Just like Sinatra and his gang, you and your friends will find yourselves singing and dancing the night away, perhaps if not on your feet, then definitely in your mind!
Effects
The Dank Sinatra strain starts off hitting you with a cerebral, buzz-like high that elevates your mood, making you feel happy, euphoric and quite giddy. In this essence, it offers the best effects of a classic stoner high, so if you are looking for fun a strain to indulge in lots of laughter to share amongst friends, this is an ideal strain. More suitable for the seasoned stoner due to its high THC content, one ought to be prepared if used for a night out on the town. Admittedly, the effects are quite relaxing as per its strong indica genetics so a chill night in is recommended. Your mind will soar and fly you to the moon, as Sinatra would sing, but your body will fall into a deep sense of relaxation. This makes the strain particularly useful for insomnia and chronic physical pains as it provides relief in mind and body as well as utter relaxation before lulling you into a deep, peaceful slumber.
THC Content
Dank Sinatra is heavy leaning towards its indica lineage with an indica/sativa ratio of 70%:30%, however the sativa effects are strong with this one. The first half of its name is actually in reference to its high THC content that reaches up to 33%, so this is not your typical hybrid—just like how Sinatra was not your typical man, either! The strain’s strong indica family line includes the parent strain, LA Affie (also known as just “Affi”), considered one of the stronger strains on the market with an average of 22% THC. Its other parent, Hash Plant, said to be a cross between original Hash Plant strains and Northern Lights #1 is also a hard leaning indica with a ratio of 80%:20% to sativa.
Appearance & Aroma
The Dank Sinatra strain is, as its name implies, rather dank and pungent in its aroma. It does also carry undertones of earthiness and diesel, which are balanced by bright notes of citrus. Quite a classy and jazzy combo for the gentleman it was named after. Its appearance is just as dapper. The dark green buds of Dank Sinatra are tightly packed with speckles of orangey ambers. To top it all off, it is covered in a thick layer of frosty trichomes, appropriate bling for the legendary singer it takes after.
