LA Kush Cake
Did somebody say cake? We’ll take a slice! While this strain could easily be mixed up with LA Kush or LA Cake, it is actually not a descendant of either strain. Rather, this indica dominant hybrid was produced by Seed Junky Genetics as the result of crossing two delectable cannabis crowd favourites, the dessert strains Kush Mints and Wedding Cake! Don’t let its sweet dessert title fool you, however. This new up and coming strain is already making waves along the West Coast and letting it be known that it is a force to be reckoned with as a super potent, heavy hitting indica. Beginners and experienced cannabis users alike will have a tough time keeping their eyes open when toking the LA Kush Cake. This strong high is backed by a super pungent yet vanilla like flavour profile, making it as potent as it is tasty!
Effects
Users will want to be careful with how much they are consuming when using LA Kush Cake by Seed Junky Genetics as it can take effect fairly quick and when it hits you, it will hit you hard. The high starts off as a deep physical soothing throughout the limbs, putting you in a state of utter relaxation before washing over you with a euphoric uplift. As the high progresses, and as you feel more relaxed, everything will feel as if they are slowing down, so this is a great stress reliever if you’ve had a long and busy day and just want to feel the slowness of time for a bit. This strain also easily induces couch lock as you’ll feel so at rest, you won’t want to get up, so it is best suited for evenings or weekends prior to bedtime. This combination of peaceful and relaxing effects make the LA Kush Cake a great choice for any indica lover, though medical users of cannabis seeking to alleviate symptoms of stress, depression, anxiety, PTSD and insomnia will find this strain particularly useful as much as it is delicious and enjoyable!
THC Content
LA Kush Cake is an indica dominant hybrid. Its THC count averages at 26% though has been reported to shoot to a whopping 32%, easily making it one of the more potent strains available out there. Its parent, Kush Mints, another genius creation by Seed Junky Genetics, is a cross between Bubba Kush and Animal Mints. It is a relatively well balanced sativa and indica hybrid with 22% to 24% THC potency. Its other parent, Wedding Cake, is an indica dominant hybrid with a ratio of 60% dominance to 40% sativa. It has a high average of 25% THC and is a cross between the Cherry Pie and world renowned Girl Scout Cookies (GSC) strains.
Appearance & Aroma
The nugs of LA Kush Cake are densely packed. They are a pale mossy green in colour with beautiful hues of darker forest greens and deep purples throughout. These darker colours are made lighter by the coating of a generous finish of frosty crystal trichomes. Cannabis enthusiasts who particularly enjoy the naturally pungent and musky skunkiness of marijuana will enjoy this strain. Not only does it offer a potent high, its skunky aromas are pretty overpowering, so don’t plan on using LA Kush Cake if you want to be discreet! However, the strain is also just as sweet as it is pungent due to its dessert genetics from the Kush Mints, Wedding Cake and Girl Scout Cookies (GSC) lineage. It delivers a flavourful creamy vanilla sweetness that is reminiscent of cake and cookies which nicely balances out its pungent notes!
